Non-Degree Option (For Foundation Courses Only)

Students who have not completed the required foundation courses for the MBA program may begin as a non-degree student without being formally admitted to the MBA program.  As a non-degree student:

  1. You may not be eligible for certain types of financial aid;
  2. You may only register during the "Open Enrollment" time period; and
  3. You may only register for a maximum of six credit hours or two classes.

This option is NOT applicable for MBA core courses, electives or the capstone course (any 600-level MBA course).

While a non-degree student, you may complete the application requirements to be admitted to the MBA program even if you have not completed all of the foundation course requirements.  If admitted, your status will be changed to a degree-seeking student and you may continue completing foundation courses or begin MBA core courses depending on your progress.  The advantages of completing the foundation courses as a degree-seeking student are:

  1. You are eligible for financial aid,
  2. You may pre-register for classes so you have better scheduling options, and
  3. You may take a maximum of 12 credit hours.

If you are interested in pursuing the non-degree option, please contact the MBA Director for more information and procedures:
