Online Assessment Tools for Newly Admitted Students 

Assessment Results Due August 1st

Prior to starting the MBA program (some of you may already have completed a class this summer), we are now requiring students to assess their knowledge in accounting and statistics via an online assessment review through Ivy Software.  This will provide you with constructive feedback on how much of your statistics and accounting knowledge you remember from your undergraduate courses.  There is no cost to take the assessments and they are conducted completely online.  Each assessment consists of 40 questions and you will receive a percentage score when you complete the last question.  The MBA Director will have access to the results to know who has completed the assessments and the scores.  You must complete the assessments by August 1^st.  

For those students scoring less than 75% on either of the assessments, the MBA professors are making the strong recommendation to purchase the Ivy Software review package(s) (only $50 plus shipping) to improve your skills prior to starting classes-by August 28^th.  Each review takes approximately 15-20 hours to complete and it’s a great way to brush up on your basic skills.  Current knowledge in the foundation courses is assumed when you enter an MBA class.

IIvy Software Instructions

To use Ivy Software for the assessment reviews and to purchase review materials (if needed):

For the Accounting Assessment:

1. Go to this website:  http://www.ivysoftware.com
2. From the main page, click on the top menu item “Products”

3. Then, in the left menu column, click on “Log on to Take a Test” under the Online Testing heading.
4. Enter your first name and last name in the boxes provided.

5. Select, from the drop-down menu in the next box, under Program:
   1. Salisbury University Accounting Assessment
   2. In the next box, enter the password: 224272

 For the Statistics Assessment:

 Repeat steps 1-4 above. 

5.  Select, from the drop-down menu in the next box, under Program:
   a.  Salisbury University Statistics Assessment
   b.  In the next box, enter the password: 

 224223 

To Purchase Ivy Software Review Packages

 If your assessment score is less than 75% correct, the professors of the MBA program are strongly recommending that you purchase the Ivy Software package(s) to complete a review of your basic skills in either/or both accounting and statistics.
